Ogham was a form of script used by the Irish during the Dark Ages. Medieval Irish monks wrote about it. They created lists of trees and animals, to use as memory aids in learning the distinctive script. As you can see from the illustration below, the script consisted of a central vertical line crossed by horizontal lines; the number, angle and position of which, created each letter.
British artist, historian and writer, Yuri Leitch, has been developing the concept of the Ogham Grove for many years and has written books describing the folk lore and star lore behind his interpretation of Ogham and the Ogham Grove. Twenty specific tree varieties, placed in a circle, each owning 18 degrees of the 360 degree circle, representing the Wheel of the Year and its eight solar festivals.
It is not my intention to write the details here, when Yuri himself writes it so much better.
